Salt Lake Wedding Photographer {Candices Bridals}

Brrrr....it was chili the day we shot Candices' bridals. But she was so positive the entire time! Salt lake can get soooooo cold this time of year, especially when you're wearing a wedding gown. :)
And P.S. how beautiful is her DRESS!? It was originally sleeveless, her amazing mom aka amazing seamstress, added the sleeves, I LOVE THEM! You can NOT tell at all that they weren't a part of the original dress.
She's being married to her man in the Salt Lake Temple this Saturday. We're hoping for no snow...ha! Maybe we'll get lucky.

Utah Newborn Photographer {Meet Marissa}

I have tender place in my heart for adoption. This little newbie was just placed with the most wonderful family! And I have to tell you about her name. So Hillary and her husband had a list of names. Marissa was one of those names, but not their favorite. When they went to the hospital the nurse who had been taking care of their baby asked if Hillary wanted to know what she'd been calling her. The nurse said "Marissa". So Hillary thought, well I better really consider that name since it's already on my list. She went home and looked up the meaning. The meaning she found said "A hoped for child". They HAD to name her Marissa after that. How utterly AmAzing is that??? I guess her name was meant to be Marissa all along.

Salt Lake Family Photographer {The Huntsman Family}

Wow, we got lucky with the fabulous weather last week. I'm not a fan of this freezing weather. I say, If it's going to be freezing, at least let there be a bunch of snow on the ground, right? OK, moving on, I love this family. I really do. They were so good, and these girls just ADORE their baby brother. Ahhh....tender.

OK, to die for cute kids. And to top it all off, we did the session in their home. The girls rooms were so fantastic- and their magnificent mom found clothes to match their rooms. I heart this session.

What an enjoyable time I had photographing these guys. Amid the crazy bike racing going on at Wheeler Farm, it was awesome. We got to hear the most animated bike racing announcer on the planet. :) Now how cute is this little man?

Utah Newborn Photographer {Aurie}

so funny how just looking at the images from sessions everyone looks so calm and peaceful and lovely. Well, I can assure you, NO session is ever completely a breeze or calm- for the parents anyway. Kids jump and run and newbies poop on the floor, and then pee all over their mom. And then we laugh. That's why I love photographing people. It's so enjoyable, no session is ever the same. Baby Aurie totally pooped everywhere when she was nakie. It was hilarious. The boys wanted to jump and play on the bed, it was awesome entertainment!

Little man Rocco. Love him. He had so much hair, and was just so squishy! Aren't newborns the perfect dose of "what really matters". Seems to put life back into perspective again. I just love capturing interaction...especially between families. It's my ultimate fave.

This was one packed full session of photogenic people and awesome outfits! They came all the way from Napa to do their engagements. We totally lucked out with magical weather....it was perfect! Miss Dore' here was quite experienced in the modeling department, she has even modeled for Guess. It was so fab working with them! Congrats you two! I'm so so excited for your wedding in May!!!
